About the Journal

The Journal of Engineering for the Americas (EftA): Engineering Education, Research, and Practice is an open-access, peer-reviewed publication of the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions (LACCEI).

Its mission is to advance engineering education, research, and practice across Latin America, the Caribbean, and beyond, fostering collaboration among universities, industry, and government to strengthen innovation, knowledge transfer, and sustainable development.


Call for Papers 2025 (Vol. 1, Number 1)

The Journal of Engineering for the Americas (EftA) invites submissions for its inaugural issue (Vol. 1, No. 1, 2025), which will feature high-impact research across a wide range of engineering disciplines. Theme:

Innovation, Research, and Practice in Engineering Education

As a leading peer-reviewed journal of LACCEI, EftA publishes original research papers, review papers, and case studies that contribute to both theoretical advancements and practical applications in engineering.
