Global Colloquium on Engineering Education

(MSGCEE)

An agreement was signed by seven engineering education societies to cooperatively organize the Multi-Society Global Colloquium on Engineering Education (MSGCEE), a multi-event distributed geographically and in time across their respective annual conferences. Designed to expand and maximize cross-cultural interaction, and to foster engineering education research and innovation collaboration across the member societies, each society has agreed to host, parallel to their annual event, an MSGCEE with a special one-day registration fee for invited Global Colloquium presenters. Each society will invite authors of refereed papers published in their 2019-2022 conferences to present at a 2022 or 2023 MSGCEE event of their choice hosted by the other societies.

To be eligible for participation in a MSGCEE, individual authors:

  • Must be a current member of one of the member societies participating in the Global Colloquium.
  • Must have presented an original paper at an annual meeting of a Global Colloquium member society that passed that society’s merit review process.
  • Must apply to participate in any given Global Colloquium session within 24 months of their original paper presentation. (extended this first year to 36 month because of the pandemic).
  • Must convert their paper to poster according to the criteria of the Global Colloquium member at which they wish to present.
  • The poster and/or paper submitted to any Global Colloquium special session must include an explicit acknowledge that it is based on an accepted conference paper and specifies the annual meeting at which the paper was originally presented.
  • Must register and pay the Global Colloquium registration fee(s) for the conference(s) at which they wish to present.
