Description
The LACCEI Ad Hoc Finance Committee is a strategic and advisory body created to support the Board and the Vice Presidency of Finance in strengthening the organization’s financial sustainability, institutional transparency, and long-term strategic planning.
The creation of the Committee is based on Article VIII of the LACCEI Constitution and Bylaw 8, which authorize the establishment of Ad Hoc Committees to support the functions and operations of the organization.
The Committee is created in response to LACCEI’s sustained institutional growth, including:
- Expansion of LACCEI international multiconferences
- Growth in institutional memberships
- Development of new strategic partnerships
- Initiation of grants, fundraising, and donation activities
- Consolidation of international structures such as:
- Fundación LACCEI (Colombia)
- LACCEI Europe
The Committee’s purpose is to support the financial evolution of LACCEI through strategic recommendations, sustainability analysis, and institutional readiness for national and international funding opportunities.
Scope
The Ad Hoc Finance Committee will operate in a strategic, consultative, and institutional support capacity, including:
- Review and analysis of LACCEI financial scenarios
- Evaluation of long-term financial sustainability models
- Recommendations regarding revenue diversification, including:
- Memberships
- Multiconferences
- Grants
- Donations
- Sponsorships
- Fundraising initiatives
- Conceptual support for:
- Endowments
- Financial compliance
- Institutional transparency
- Risk management
- Review of guidelines related to audits and financial controls
- Strategic support for financial coordination among:
- LACCEI USA
- Fundación LACCEI
- LACCEI Europe
- Recommendations to strengthen institutional readiness for funding agencies and international donors
The Committee will have a non-operational role and will not replace the responsibilities of the Board, the President, the Vice President of Finance, or the Executive Director.
