LACCEI 2026 Guest Program

The LACCEI 2026 Guest Program is designed for accompanying persons of registered participants who wish to enjoy cultural, social, and touristic experiences in Santiago while the conference is taking place.
👤 Who is considered a Guest?
A Guest is an accompanying person of a registered participant (author or attendee), such as a spouse, partner, family member, or friend.
Guests:
- ✅ May attend technical sessions and paper presentations
- ✅ May participate in social and cultural activities organized by LACCEI
- ❌ Do not receive certificates
Guests must be registered through a participant (author or non-author), as they are considered accompanying persons and do not register independently.
🗓️ Program Overview
The Guest Program will take place on:
- Wednesday, July 15
- Thursday, July 16
🕘 Schedule:
- Departure: 9:00 – 9:15 AM
- Return: 2:00 – 3:00 PM
All activities are designed to align with the conference schedule, allowing participants and guests to reunite for official social events.

🏛️ Cultural Experience – Santiago Downtown
- Guided visit to selected museums and historical areas
- Options may include:
- Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino
- Museo Nacional de Historia Natural de Chile

✔️ Includes lunch
🛍️ Shopping & Local Crafts Experience
- Visit to artisan markets and cultural shopping areas:
- Feria Santa Lucía
- Pueblito Los Dominicos

✔️ Cultural immersion
💼 Logistics
- 👥 Small groups (maximum 8 guests per guide)
- 🌐 Bilingual guides (English / Spanish)
- 🚇 Transportation: metro or walking (private transport may be arranged if needed)
- 📍 Meeting point: designated area inside the conference hotel
💲 Registration & Fees
Program Fee: $200 USD
- Actual program cost: $300 USD
- LACCEI subsidy: $100 USD per guest
The program includes:
- Two guided experiences (Wednesday & Thursday)
- Transportation coordination
- Entry tickets (if applicable)
- Welcome Reception at LACCEI 2026
- Gala Dinner at LACCEI 2026
- Lunch on both days (Wednesday and Thursday)
👉 Limited capacity. Early registration is recommended.
⚠️ Important Information
- Guests participate at their own responsibility
- LACCEI facilitates coordination but does not operate as a travel agency
- Comfortable clothing and weather-appropriate attire are recommended (winter season in Santiago)
- Moderate walking is required

Guests must:
- Be associated with a registered participant (author or attendee)
- Register as a Guest through the participant’s ConfTool account
- Select and confirm participation in the Guest Program
