Entrepreneurship and Innovation Student Competition (E&I24)Deadline for first phase: August 30th

The competition aims to motivate entrepreneurial spirit among university students and stimulate the achievement of their academic goals by developing innovative entrepreneurship projects. The competition consists of three phases:
- In Phase 1 you must submit a project through a web form: click here. The 10 best will be selected and will move on to Phase 2. Project presentation template: click here.
- Phase 2 is an 8-week pre-incubation process (October and November).
- In Phase 3 you will present a summary document of your progress in the pre-incubation process, a video of the pitch of the solution and the presentation to the jury during the (virtual) session of LEIRD 2024.
RULES
- PARTICIPANTS: Teams of four or five active undergraduate students who may be from different disciplines or majors, gender equality is recommended. They should be supported by a mentor who is a professor at the institution where the student leader is enrolled.
- PROJECT TYPES (Phase 1): Any innovative entrepreneurship project, including those with environmental, social or community impact, can be submitted to the Competition. Projects or solutions must respond to at least 2 or 3 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). - Cualquier proyecto de emprendimiento innovador, incluidos aquellos con impacto ambiental, social o comunitario, puede ser presentado al Certamen. Los proyectos o soluciones deben responder a por lo menos 2 o 3 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS). Enviar el proyecto a través de un formulario web y adjuntar en el formulario web el proyecto de acuerdo con esta plantilla o template: click aquí.
- WRITTEN WORK AND VIDEO (Phase 2): The project will be presented using these two components in English or Spanish. The evaluation will take place in the months of October and November of the 10 best projects selected in September, in the first Phase. The jury will evaluate the video and the project.
- PRESENTATION (Phase 3): On Wednesday, December 4, at LEIRD, the jury will have the answers to the questions live and along with the presentations the winners will be selected..

Group of professors and/or entrepreneurs designated by the LACCEI’s International Standing Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ISCEI).
WINNERS
For the top three projects:
- First: USD 500 and free registrations to all team members to participate virtually in the LEIRD 2024 conference. Specialized mentoring by ISCEI members for the development of its entrepreneurial initiative.
- Second: USD 300 and free registrations to all team members to participate virtually in the LEIRD 2024 annual conference. Specialized mentoring by ISCEI members for the development of its entrepreneurial initiative.
- Third: USD 200 and free registrations to all team members to participate virtually in the LEIRD 2024 annual conference. Specialized mentoring by ISCEI members for the development of its entrepreneurial initiative.
All those who qualify (only 10) to participate in Phase 2, as well as the institution they represent, will receive a certificate of recognition. The incubation process will be carried out by ISCEI and Laboratorio de Creatividad e Innovación El Patio de la UTB.
