Abstract
Summary Musculoskeletal problems have been one of the problems obtained by the high frequencies provided by oscillating tools, therefore With the mechanization of production and industrial processes, they have been optimised, improved and facilitated the tasks, in Colombia one of the main causes of risks that enter the eps are those of carpal tunnel syndrome, which is due to performing tasks that involve great effort, forced manual positions, vibratory tools and wrist-hand pressure. “CTS is a mononeuropathy, that is, it is damage to a single nerve or a group of nerves that produces loss of movement, sensitivity or other function of that nerve with a set of signs and symptoms that are the product of the compression of the median nerve within the carpal tunnel”, explained Layla María Tamer David, scientific director and medical concepts of the New EPS. To solve these problems, the objective is to build a glove prototype that allows mitigating the impact on the health of people who use this type of construction tools, which in turn involve strong oscillations, identifying the necessary elements and methodologies for construction. of the same.
