Abstract

Introduction. Entrepreneurship has been proposed in the last decade as a social and knowledge strategy for the development of skills oriented to project management with a greater degree of certainty and requires the development of entrepreneurship skills in those who train future professionals. This study diagnoses the present attributes, values, and characteristics of the university trainer’s entrepreneurs of the School of Arts and Design, as a first step to work the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Methods. A descriptive study was carried out, with a convenience sample of 60 participants. Those involved were selected according to their role, being part of the School of Arts and Design and their intervention in the formation of the entrepreneurial axis. The content of the questionnaire included questions oriented towards characteristics and traits of an entrepreneur, as well as obstacles and influences during entrepreneurship education. The questionnaire was validated through a pilot test with 15 people and was applied for 2 weeks in September 2022. Results. 60.45% of the teaching staff have a favorable degree of mastery over entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial role. The skills profile reports the presence of characteristics of an entrepreneurial spirit, pedagogical, strategic, and competitive skills stand out. Conclusion. Teachers respond positively to the construction of the profile demonstrating knowledge, skills, and willingness to join the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
