Abstract
Nowadays, many processes within educational institutions still rely on manual methods that can lead to inefficiencies and operational delays. One of these challenges is related to classroom access management, where traditional systems based on physical keys are still in use. At educational institutions of Peru, faculty members must manually request keys from administrative staff to access classrooms, which often results in delays, loss of keys, and inefficiencies in classroom usage. To address this situation, this research proposes the design and implementation of an access control system based on Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. This system allows professors to gain quick and secure access to classrooms using NFC-enabled devices, thereby reducing their reliance on physical keys and optimizing access procedures. The proposed system is intended to integrate with the university’s current infrastructure, improving efficiency, enhancing security, and promoting the adoption of modern technology in administrative processes, obtaining 95% of acceptance and a good approval to address the proposed problems.
