Abstract
This study aimed to determine the criteria for designing a Community Center for social and urban development in the district of Veintiseis de Octubre, Piura. A quantitative methodology was used, including surveys of 382 inhabitants and analysis of previous studies. The results revealed a high valuation of green and wooded areas (62% of importance) and diversity of uses (43%), contrasting with low levels of satisfaction (9% and 20% respectively). The need for learning, sports and basic health care services was identified. The proposed design, distributed over three levels, responds to these needs by incorporating landscape elements and local materials. It concludes that the Community Centre designed effectively addresses infrastructure deficiencies and promotes social cohesion, in line with sustainable development objectives.
