Abstract
The objective of this research is to determine if the lime blocks with coconut fiber have adequate mechanical properties for their non-structural use, according to the E.070 standard, that is, to know if non-bearing walls can be executed using a fiber masonry unit. coconut with added lime; using organic coconut waste from the town of Aucayacu – Leoncio Prado – Huánuco; Likewise, due to the problem of population growth, it implies the need to construct homes that have non-structural elements, such as perimeter fences, leading to an increase in the acquisition of concrete blocks or clay bricks in said civil works. For this reason, the use of natural fibers of plant origin is used to produce masonry units to supply the demand. Then the optimal proportions to produce lime blocks plus the addition of coconut fiber are presented, prioritizing mainly the reuse of organic coconut waste. Finally, the classification of masonry units is defined according to regulation E.070, complying with the physical and mechanical characteristics as a block for non-structural purposes.
