Abstract

The objective of this study is to improve environmental management in the company "Transporte Amador Express S.A.C." in order to reduce costs. Three main causes of environmental problems were identified: excessive use of fossil fuels and lighting, lack of adequate maintenance, and waste and contamination of water from washing containers. These problems affected machinery, the environment and water use. Environmental management plans, consistency, and prevention, remediation, and mitigation of environmental impacts were proposed as improvement proposals. The implementation of these plans reduced the economic loss from S/13,304.25 to S/625.30, resulting in an economic benefit for the company. The economic-financial evaluation of the proposal showed an NPV of S/90,980, an IRR of 92% and a Benefit-Cost ratio of 2.84, supporting the economic viability of the proposed improvements.
