Abstract

The implementation of information and communication technologies (ICT) introduces changes in the teaching-learning processes, stimulating the development of students. However, it can generate fear or inertia on the part of the teaching staff as they feel displaced or with little preparation to handle these technologies, or due to the inequity in the availability of said resources. This research shows the results of training provided to primary education teachers in educational institutions in marginal areas of Guayaquil, as a pilot study of intervened action, where similar characteristics are evaluated between the selected institutions, considering existing technological and infrastructure resource restrictions. to determine the relevance of ICT use by the teacher. It reflects on the importance of having a methodology aimed at enhancing teaching skills based on the use of basic technological tools, according to available resources, seeking its replicability in other community sectors for the benefit of early childhood education. The training is prepared based on prior information with the teachers, through a SWOT analysis that allows the modality and content to be adapted to the reality of the individuals, generating an evaluation model applying the theory of change. At the end of the intervention, the degree of satisfaction with the training and perception of importance given to the use of the technological tools that the teachers used in their classes is evaluated, to strengthen teaching-learning methodologies and modalities in this type of primary educational institutions.
