Abstract

The objective of this document es to evaluate the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools in the production line of filled candies in a mass consumption food company, with the aim of improving the efficiency of the line. The diagnosis shows that the main waste of the line is overprocessing, waiting, unnecessary movements and transfers, this generated costs of S/.80,000.00, per semester, in reprocessing and overtime. As explained, the implementation of tools such as Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), Visual Controls and the pillars of Total Productive Management (TPM): Autonomous and Preventive Maintenance are proposed.
