Abstract

The development of the structure of a BAJA SAE type vehicle for the 2022 competition in Mexico is presented. Modeling based on regulatory parameters is described, the selection of materials and the final configuration is subsequently analyzed by CAE techniques, to guarantee the mechanical functionality of the structure. Results of flexural and torsional stiffness, as well as frontal and lateral impact based on Von Mises failure criteria, are reported in an acceptable manner, as well as results of vibration modes of the structure. Additionally, the final manufacturing result of the structure is described, which was presented in the competition in Mexico in 2022.
