Abstract
This study focuses on the petrological characterization of Llushcapampa, known for its recurrent landslides. It is noteworthy that, to date, no comprehensive petrological studies have been conducted to assess the quality of rock material in this area. The research specifically targets volcanic rocks through a detailed analysis, both macroscopic and microscopic. The results reveal that volcanic rocks exhibit very poor quality, significantly contributing to the observed landslides. This finding has crucial implications for the safety of the population and surrounding structures. The main objective is to provide a solid foundation for warning about potential future landslides, with the hope of implementing preventive and mitigating measures in the study area
