No experience with AI is needed since we will provide resources to help you get started. Interdisciplinary groups are welcome. Additionally, prior knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not required, as we offer support through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youthacademy.comcytcentral.org\/ai-with-matlab\">OAS Youth Academy <\/a>and MathWorks to facilitate learning in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Get Ready!<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New to MATLAB and\/or AI? Start by taking the courses of Artificial Intelligence with MATLAB at<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youthacademy.comcytcentral.org\/ai-with-matlab\"> YouthAcademy<\/a>. These courses are free of charge!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why Participate?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Learn about this exciting area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gain hands-on experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Win exciting prizes and recognition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Task<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this challenge, we invite you to help advance a critical research issue in the field of medicine using AI (the issue details will be announced on March 10th).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prizes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First place: 500 USD (For LACCEI members only)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Second place: 300 USD (For LACCEI members only)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Third place: 200 USD (For LACCEI members only)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For LACCEI non members, MathWorks will deliver merchandise and LACCEI a certification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Official Rules<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Proposal, video, documentation, and application should be presented in English (max. 3 minutes).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Groups of 3 or 4 students with 1 mentor (professor or researcher)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students and mentor can only be in one group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estimated graduation date for the students should be after July 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The solution must be able to be replicated step by step.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The code must be in a repository with access to the jury.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation cost: FREE.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">LACCEI 2025 Hackathon: Launch seminar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants must register for the challenge launch event.
