Abstract
The main purpose of the research was to determine the benefits offered by internationalization in the development of medium-sized companies in the manufacturing sector during the year 2024. To achieve this objective, a qualitative approach was used, such as a phenomenological design and a descriptive scope. Data collection was carried out through interviews with 5 experts in foreign trade and business internationalization, in order to understand, from their experiences and perspectives, how this process influences the performance of organizations. The findings show that internationalization, approached in a strategic and progressive manner, has a positive impact on multiple aspects of business performance. the experts emphasize that this process contributes to strengthening competitiveness, optimizing operations, accessing technologies and resources that are not available locally, and significantly expanding markets. through different mechanisms such as importing, exporting, investment or commercial implementation, companies are able to reduce costs, improve their international positioning and adapt more effectively to changing environments. it was concluded that internationalization is a fundamental way for the growth, transformation and sustainability of medium-sized manufacturing companies in Chimbote, enabling them to successfully face the challenges of the global economy.
