Abstract
Digital transformation has revolutionised the global commercial landscape, positioning e-commerce as a fundamental part of export strategies. This phenomenon has played a key role in the development and business orientation of SMEs. Therefore, the decisive role of e-commerce and exports of natural leather footwear by SMEs in Trujillo-2025 was examined. Using a quantitative correlational approach, 13 sales teams (26 participants) from exporting companies in the sector were analysed. The results revealed a highly significant correlation between the implementation of e-commerce and exports, confirming that e-commerce is not simply a complementary tool, but a crucial factor in determining success in international markets. The research showed that SMEs that strategically adopted digital platforms significantly increased their export capacity, overcoming geographical barriers and accessing new international markets more efficiently
