Abstract
Climate change represents one of the main current challenges, with the digital carbon footprint being a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions. The lack of effective monitoring tools leads to manual, tedious, and inaccurate processes. Therefore, the objective of this research was to determine the influence of a digital system on monitoring the digital carbon footprint of university students in Cajamarca. The Scrum framework was implemented to develop the system. The research was applied, with a quantitative approach, explanatory scope, and pre-experimental design. The sample consisted of 100 university students over a period of 15 days. The results led to the conclusion that the digital system had a positive effect on monitoring the digital carbon footprint of the participating students.
