Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the influence of the proposal of an MRP system on the productivity of a manufacturing company, Trujillo 2024. The research was applied, with a quantitative approach and propositional design. A diagnosis of the current productivity situation in thinner manufacturing was made, showing a level of 9.54 liters per hour, being below the sector standard, set at 10 liters per hour. This generated a total loss of S/ 65,963.50 during the year 2023 attributed to 6 root causes. A proposal for a Master Production Plan (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Demand Planning was developed, managing to reduce losses and obtaining an economic benefit of S/ 38,559.50, improving its operational efficiency. The economic evaluation of the proposal obtained a NPV of S/ 53,574.28, an IRR of 78.7%, a payback period of 1.9 years and a Benefit/Cost of 1.13, confirming the viability and economic profitability of the proposal, concluding that the MRP system proposal significantly influenced the improvement of productivity in the manufacture of thinners, increasing production from 9.54 liters per hour to 10.42 liters per hour
