Abstract
The study on the improvement of the occupational health and safety system in an agro-industry concludes that the implementation of improvements in the occupational health and safety system had a positive impact on the reduction of occupational risks. Using an applied approach, propositional and explanatory diagnosis, the research covered all areas of the company and used methods such as surveys, documentary analysis and direct observation. The control updates adopted, including safety signage, occupational health and safety training and improved emergency procedures, will reduce the risk levels of hazards from moderate to tolerable. This result underlines the positive effect of improvements in the occupational health and safety system on occupational risks in the company
