Abstract
The objective of research in the clinical laboratory company in Trujillo was to reduce cost overruns in the diagnosis and prevention of patients' diseases; In recent years, high cost overruns have been determined in the clinical analysis and warehouse processes. Before the proposal, activities that do not add value were observed, such as delays due to equipment stoppages, delays due to lack of stock in the warehouse, delays due to records of inputs that were not updated, delays due to searching for materials and supplies, an extra cost of S/ 52,436 per anus. After analyzing and determining the root causes, the management proposal was based on the use of Monte Carlo simulation, TPM, MRP and time study. The proposal was reduced to S/ 27,049 per year. It was concluded that Monte simulation to predict the probability of different outcomes was useful given the difficulties of other approaches in preventive maintenance.
