Abstract
The objective of this research was to carry out the structural analysis and design of confined masonry of a 5-story multifamily building, El Porvenir district - Trujillo 2024. According to the problems of self-construction without seismic analysis and structural design, the specific objectives to be analyzed were proposed. Starting with the topographic study of the terrain, giving the coordinates, to create the location and location plan; Then the soil study was determined, by extracting the sample, to be subsequently analyzed in the laboratory, which resulted in the bearing capacity of 0.86, being a soil made up of poorly graded sand with mustard-colored, odorless gravel (SP). The architectural design continued in accordance with standards A.010 and A.020. Next, the structural analysis was carried out using static and dynamic earthquake loads, determining lateral displacements, which were lower than the allowable distortion of 0.005. Finally, the design of the structural elements was carried out, such as the walls, beams, columns, slabs, and the foundation.
