Abstract
Abstract: The following research work designated "Architectural barriers for the disabled and older adults in a Municipality" has as its objective the existing correlation between the public institution, the worker and the users that occurs daily in the facilities of the Provincial Municipality of Trujillo - Annex Avenida España of the year 2023. The type of approach selected for our research is quantitative, it was also applied as a descriptive - correlational investigative level and the confirmatory and deductive method was used. Four first-level categories and 32 second-level indicators in four dimensions were proposed, an integral design with general functionalities, functional integrations of the flow, preparation and awareness of personnel, and safety conditioning of the facilities were used. Results: The study showed that the general design aspects and specifications of the municipal annex meet 79.762% in high adaptability. In the integration of the general conditions of accessibility and functionality, they comply with 73.75% in high adaptability. In the training and awareness of personnel on the importance of comprehensive security in the municipality, they comply with a 38.33% participation of municipal personnel. Comprehensive security components for universal accessibility meet a 60.625% optimal adequacy. Results: The study showed that the main parameters that were developed for the integral design and functional flexibility comply with 88.23% in high adaptability. Likewise, the conclusion is reached that if there is a significant and direct relationship between the variables and it is recommended to whom appropriate the implementation of an office that is exclusively trained in internal control that allows better management of the resources available to the Municipality to be able to provide a good quality of service to citizens, as well as carry out permanent training for its workers.
