Abstract

Vehicle traffic accidents are a big problem because they cause deaths and damage to citizens. To solve this problem, new vehicle designs must be better every day in terms of safety, reducing accidents, sustainable, and emitting low levels of greenhouse gases. , since this destroys and pollutes the environment. For this reason, in the present work, a pre-experimental study was carried out on the proposal of a structure for a three-wheeled vehicle to transport and improve the quality of life of people through finite element analysis using the ANSYS software. Static analysis to find deformations, stresses, and safety factors, and dynamic analysis, such as modal analysis to find natural frequencies, vibration modes, and mass participation factor, were evaluated. In addition, a harmonic analysis (superposition of modes) was carried out to estimate the deformations and stresses promoted by the sinusoidal forces generated by the loads of the passengers and vehicle components. The results show that the three-wheeled vehicle is designed with low efforts and minimal deformations; In the modal analysis, the natural frequency of vibration mode 1 is 15.89Hz, with mass participation of 30%, due to its low mass participation factor resonance cannot enter, in the harmonic analysis they were obtained in the same way. Low stresses and deformations. It was concluded that the structure of the three-wheeled vehicle was adequately designed to operate safely, guaranteeing its correct functioning while transporting people.
