Abstract
The purpose of this article was to show the results of the investigation of certain factors that participate in terms of competitiveness and attractiveness in mining. The positive and negative aspects of the main open pit mines in the La Libertad region in the period 2022 were analyzed in detail, which are: Lagunas Norte (Boroo Misquichilca), La Arena (Pan American Silver) and El Toro (Summa Gold). Corporation). The type of research was, descriptive, because the data was analyzed and described, evaluating its production, plant capacity, location, exploration investments, working capital, certifications, concessions, useful life of the mine, road infrastructure, hours worked without accidents and number of personnel, as a result of the investigation it was obtained that within the three mining companies subjected to the study the most attractive and competitive company is the Lagunas Norte mining unit operated by Boroo Misquichilca.
