Abstract
International rankings such as QS or SCImago expose in a limited way the scientific production of the countries from the global south. This situation complicates analysis, decision-making and the development of policies on science behavior. This work describes the construction of a ranking of Honduran researchers, based on Google Scholar, an innovation that favors the effective management of scientific resources in science emerging countries. Through an ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) process, data was integrated and processed to create a relational model using Power BI Desktop tool. The result was an interactive online board that shows information of 444 researchers with name, affiliation, research topics, number of published works, H index, citations, among others. The following steps will take the ranking to become a Central American project whose data would be collected and updated via web applications. In addition, the ranking will explore the possibility of applying natural language processing techniques for data management.
