Abstract
The green hydrogen is considered the energy of the future and capable of replacing conventional fuels in those sectors that are most difficult to decarbonize. conventional fuels in those sectors that are most difficult to decarbonize. The objective of this review is to analyze how the production and use of green hydrogen contribute to mitigate atmospheric pollution in the contribute to mitigating atmospheric pollution in industry, by identifying industry, identifying efficient production methods and assessing its environmental impact compared to other fossil fuels. environmental impact compared to other fossil fuels. To this end, a systematic review without meta-analysis a systematic review without meta-analysis using the PICOC strategy. A Based on the established inclusion and exclusion criteria, 31 open-access articles were selected from 31 open-access articles were selected from the Scopus, Scopus and Scopus databases. The results showed that water electrolysis is the predominant method for producing green hydrogen, using electrolyzers and electrolyzers. using electrolyzers and renewable energies such as solar and wind. In conclusion, the studies reviewed indicate a significant reduction in emissions of CO₂ and other pollutants by using green hydrogen in the other pollutants by using green hydrogen instead of fossil fuels. Although economic and infrastructural challenges exist, the adoption of green hydrogen holds promise for a cleaner and more sustainable economy.
