Abstract

Nowadays, the use of artificial intelligence is used at different educational levels and work fields, from students to people who are in charge of a work team. Therefore, it is important to insert the ethical use of this technology in the teaching and learning process by showing students the advantages and disadvantages or difficulties that they may encounter when using one of these tools, for example, Symbolab, WolframAlplha and ChatGPT, in their learning process. This proposal was developed during the 2024-2 academic semester where emphasis was placed on the use of ChatGPT in the mathematics course with students in the first academic year of their professional training from two private institutions in Lima, Peru. The initiative to insert this tool into the classroom was the result of observing the use of various technological tools by students, identifying that the most used among them was ChatGPT. In this sense, a review of relevant information related to the proposal was carried out that shows the importance of inserting this type of tools in the classroom and the responsibility that students who begin their university studies should have. Finally, it is important to note that these types of activities will have a positive influence if they are taught and explained the correct use of these new technologies that will also be part of their profession.
