Abstract
The aim of this research was to determine the degree of the relationship between leadership and job satisfaction among employees in a supermarket. To achieve this, the study followed a quantitative approach with a non-experimental and correlational design. The sample consisted of 14 employees from the supermarket, and data were collected using a questionnaire based on the Likert scale. This instrument allowed the researchers to gather the necessary information to analyse the relationship between the variables. Pearson’s statistical test was used to process the data, revealing a significant level of 0.00 and a high correlation coefficient of 0.796 between leadership and job satisfaction. When examining the relationship between leadership and task significance, a moderate correlation was observed, with a coefficient of r = 0.538. Similarly, the relationship between leadership and working conditions also showed a moderate correlation, with r = 0.557. Additionally, the relationship between leadership and economic benefits yielded a high correlation, with r = 0.793. The findings of this research led to the conclusion that improvements in leadership among supermarket employees directly impact their job satisfaction. Specifically, as leadership increases, there is a corresponding rise in the significance of the tasks they perform, the quality of their working conditions, and the economic benefits they receive. This underscores the importance of leadership in fostering a positive work environment and enhancing employee satisfaction.
