Abstract
In recent years, our country has shown a remarkable growth at the industrial level, especially since the productive matrix began to be promoted, this has caused the need to improve knowledge in the field of labor administration and production processes in order to remain at the forefront of new technologies and to achieve the best level of competitiveness in a dynamic fertilizers market The present study carried out in the fertilizer processing company is intended to suggest a methodological alternative to improve the resources management by applying a forecasting model for a seasonal demand with a trend and, this is based on the business turn and the company shareholders vision and growth purposes. The analysis focuses on identifying the representative causes that affect the current efficiency of the production system, evaluating the historical production data, classifying products, and proposing a forecast model which would serves as the basis for structuring a production planning system, considering that no forecasting method is accurate and that the model must be adjusted according to the company reality until the proposed system is stabilized.
