Abstract
In the modern world, information has become the most valuable resource for both public and private organizations. However, due to the large amount of information available, it is crucial to manage it in order to obtain reliable and useful data that drive the development of activities. Focusing research on the public sector is justified by the role that archival documents play in the productivity of public entities, which directly influences the satisfaction of the needs of the population through products and services. This article presents the results derived from the analysis of the incidence between archive management and productivity in a public entity. Tools and techniques were used to evaluate the correlation of the variables and determine their incidence. The research was quantitative in approach, working with a sample of 80 employees of the public organization. The data were analyzed based on descriptive and inferential statistics applying the non-parametric Spearman's Rho measure and structural equations, concluding that there is a weak positive relationship and an incidence between the variables (30.6%) that indicate that the existing information is not yet correct used in the archival processes, in addition to the fact that to manage the archive area and contribute to the productivity of the entity it is necessary to train employees in technical processes regulated in the directive that establishes the institutional archive system.
