Abstract
This study focuses on the analysis of seismic vulnerability in confined masonry homes, using the AIS method in the El Triunfo sector, Cajamarca, analyzing the geometric, constructive, structural, foundation, environment and soil aspects. The methodology included a qualitative approach of a descriptive study and a non-experimental design, the techniques used for data collection were direct observation and field work, applying the AIS method sheet as an instrument. The results of the investigation were carried out using the ETABS software where it was verified that they do not fully comply with the E.030 and E.070 standards and the Microsoft Excel program in which it was verified that the number of walls in two directions, The quality of the mortar joints, the confined and reinforced walls and the mezzanine are the most critical aspects of the 36 homes evaluated. Therefore, the conclusion was reached that 80% represents a level of medium vulnerability with a degree that ranges between 47.78% and 66.11% and 20% presents a high vulnerability with a degree that exceeds 73.43%, which represents a considerable risk due to the probability of collapse during an earthquake.
