Abstract
Abstract– The non-primary manufacturing sector in Peru represents 12.7% of GDP, but it is a sector that is decreasing mainly due to the slowdown of the economy, national and international competition; It should be noted that the case study company is the only one that produces polypropylene notex fabric masks in Peru with internationally certified quality and has China as its main competitor; Thus, faced with this situation, the company sought to develop competitiveness alternatives that would allow it to enter new markets but at the same time be sustainable, which is why it chose as an alternative and set the objective of implementing the operational strategy of cleaner production. For the development, the Peruvian technical standard guide GP.900.200 2021 was used, as well as various publications. There is a 48% reduction in energy consumption, 82% in usable waste and 74% in non-usable waste, and the amount of finished product increased by 8%.
