Abstract
This paper introduces StockOdissey, a gamified tool designed to enhance teaching and learning processes in the field of Inventory Management and Control. The tool incorporates an interactive design that utilizes challenges, levels, and rewards to motivate students, fostering the acquisition of knowledge through experiential and dynamic learning. Additionally, it integrates competitive elements to boost intrinsic motivation during interaction. The article describes the gamified system, its application in teaching, and presents positive results from a pilot test conducted at a higher education institution in MedellĂn, Colombia. Findings indicate a favorable response from students, demonstrating a high level of satisfaction, improved comprehension of concepts, and increased motivation to learn compared to traditional lectures. Thus, gamification emerges as an additional technique that educators can explore to enhance their students' learning experiences.
