Abstract
The objective of this research is to determine the mechanical properties of the different mortars made with two types of cement: Pacasmayo cement (Extra forte- ICo) and anti-salt cement (MS). For this, granulometry, density and absorption tests of the fine aggregate obtained from the Bazan quarry were carried out, these tests were carried out in the University laboratory, in addition to tests of resistance to flexion and compression of 24 units of mortars. The maximum loads and stresses supported by the 6 mortar samples made with anti-salt type MS cement and the other 6 with extraforte type ICo were found, as well as the flexural resistance of the 6 mortar samples made with anti-salt cement. MS type saltpeter and 6 with ICo type extraforte. Finally, it was possible to observe that the mortar containing type MS cement supported a higher compressive and flexural stress compared to the mortar made with type ICo cement.
