Abstract
Tourism, recognized for its economic and social importance globally, has played a prominent role in the tourist offer of the Cajamarca region. In 2023, a web application was implemented with the aim of evaluating its positive impact on the tourist experience and local sustainable development. For this, a pre-experimental quantitative approach was adopted that included surveys of 70 national tourists and 30 foreigners. The application stood out for providing detailed information about attractions, services, and tourist events. The results obtained highlighted significant improvements in system functionality, user satisfaction, and the acquisition of tourist packages. Compared to similar initiatives, it stood out for its ability to establish direct communication with companies and offer a wide variety of options. Despite limitations such as the lack of precise data and time restrictions, the research and implementation of the web application were successfully carried out, having a positive impact on the promotion of sustainable tourism in the city of Cajamarca
