Abstract
The general objective of the research is to determine the influence of carbon fibers on the compressive strength of concrete in urban building projects, Cajamarca; It is carried out because there is a need to improve the strength of concrete to generate safe structures with good compression resistance against increased overloads and the presence of seismic events. Meanwhile, the work presented an experimental design, laboratory tests were carried out on the aggregates and cylindrical specimens were made with conventional concrete and with the addition of 3%, 6% and 9% of carbon fibers for compression resistance tests. at 7, 14 and 28 days of curing. With the purpose of specifying an alternative for later and satisfactory dates of structural projects in urban buildings.
