Abstract
The objective of this research is to determine if there is a relationship between environmental awareness and responsible consumption among university students. Likewise, to evaluate levels of environmental awareness and responsible consumption, as well as to determine if there is a relationship between their dimensions. For the methodology we have a qualitative approach, of non-experimental design of transversal cut of relational type. For this study the instrument used was the questionnaire, elaborated with 70 questions to collect information on Environmental Awareness and Responsible Consumption. The sample was a total of 385 university students where we have that, 223 are males representing 58% and 162 are females representing 42% of the sample of university students. After the investigation, it was concluded that the Spearman's bilateral significance obtained is: 0.000060763 giving us a confidence of 99% (highly significant correlation). While the Spearman correlation obtained is: 0.716 which means a high positive correlation. Therefore, there is a correlation between the variables Environmental Awareness and Responsible Consumption.
