Abstract

Organizations have been evolving, trying to differentiate themselves through a management that identifies them, applying different management methods, as well as human capital management. The management of the work environment represents a fundamental factor in the well-being of the collaborators. The present research has a quantitative, non-experimental approach of descriptive-correlational type, the unit of study are the 40 workers of the Peruvian customs operator company in Callao being the variables of study the work performance through the dimensions task performance, counterproductive behavior, and contextual performance, and in the case of the work environment variable, the dimensions are leadership, recognition and cooperation. The objective of the research is to determine the relationship between work environment and job performance in order to contribute through a proposal that covers the improvement of the understanding of the behavior of employees by analyzing the processes that affect their daily work and are related to their job performance, seeking to impact the achievement of the objectives of the organization and to be a model for organizations in the same or similar areas.
