Abstract
Peru is a country with a mining tradition that is currently the second largest exporter of copper ore and its concentrates in the world, with China being the main export market with which there is a Free Trade Agreement (FTA). in force since 2010. In the last 13 years, Peru has practically improved its income from FOB exports of this product to the Asian country more than 7 times. The purpose of this research is to analyze how the Comparative Advantage indicator evolves in the export of Copper Ore and its Concentrates in relation to the main export market. We worked with FOB export data, with which the relative values of both general exports and the product were determined. both to China and to the World in both cases. Finally, the Revealed Comparative Advantage Indices (IVCR) were determined, obtaining a positive value (0.42) as a total value between 2010 and 2022. The monitoring and socialization of these trends with stakeholders could be useful to generate productive and commercial strategies in the future.
