Abstract

The present investigation was developed in a Minimarket in the city of Trujillo and its general objective was to determine the impact of the implementation of the ABC classification and Kardex on the inventory costs in the company Corarvi Deliverycenter S.A.C. The type of research was applied, with pre-experimental design and quantitative approach. The current diagnosis detected 7 root causes that were filtered through the Pareto Diagram leaving only 3 root causes because they are more important to analyze, these were: lack of inventory control, lack of purchasing management and lack of an inventory policy. The tools used were ABC Classification and Kardex. It was concluded that, by implementing the tools in the company, a monetary benefit of S/ 1.109,84 was obtained, being favorable for the company, since the high inventory costs were reduced. A comparison of the inventory costs before and after the implementation of the tools was carried out. Initially the company had S/ 1.274,76 and after the implementation the costs were S/ 164,92 representing a decrease of 87%.
