Abstract
Currently, traditional crafts are considered an invaluable cultural heritage; they face challenges such as lack of innovation and competition with industrialized products. In the Libertador Bolívar Commune, Santa Elena - Ecuador, these difficulties are added to the limited internet connectivity and little training in new technologies, which limits the development of the community. An innovative strategy is proposed to revitalize traditional crafts and promote sustainable development and digital education in the community. The incorporation of microcontrollers in crafts will allow interactive functionalities to be added to the pieces, increasing their cultural and commercial value. Additionally, develop new digital skills in the community, empowering artisans, promoting sustainability through the creation of eco-friendly products and reducing waste. This initiative seeks to generate a positive impact in the Libertador Bolívar Commune, boosting the local economy, preserving culture and training new generations in digital technologies. It emerged as a result of a community project by students and professors from the Telecommunications program at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL).
