Abstract
The objective of this research is to determine the influence of polypropylene fiber on the physical-mechanical properties of a cold asphalt mix with 100% recycled pavement, for the development of the thesis a pure experimental design was used, the sampling technique used was non-probabilistic by expert judgment, the data collection technique was based on observation, the instrument used was the observation guide, for data analysis inferential statistics was applied. The results obtained were 5.15 kN of stability and 9.08 mm of creep in the standard mixture, while in the mixtures with 0.25%, 0.30% and 0.35% of polypropylene fiber we have 5.54 kN - 7.25 mm, 7.06 kN - 8.22 mm and 6.19 kN - 9.25 mm. The percentage of voids was 3.65% in the standard mixture while in the mixtures with 0.25%, 0.30% and 0.35% of polypropylene fiber we have 3.85%, 4.29% and 4.43%. It is concluded that the polypropylene fiber significantly influences the physical-mechanical properties of the cold asphalt mix with 100% RAP, determining that with the addition of 0.30% a better performance is achieved in the Marshall test.
