Abstract
Abstract – A methodology is presented for carrying out analysis of existing general institutional management models in higher education institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean and in particular those related to processes of technological development and transfer to the productive and social environment, with the purpose of establishing diagnoses that allow proposing structural changes and functional that project the higher education institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean to improve their social impact. The state of the art, background in this regard is included, having verified vacancies in specific studies such as the one presented, although there are in partial aspects of it, proposing the analysis of the dimensions of university management, strategic planning, institutional evaluation, as bases for organizational analysis according to recognized theoretical frameworks such as situational diagnosis, knowledge management and models of technological change in organizations.
