Abstract

Abstract— Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) is booming in the student environment. GenAI is a subtype of AI that, through interaction with a person through statements in a conversational manner, generates responses in text, audio, or video, offering a diversity of structured responses and expanding the search horizon to students. However, by Being a recent technology, there is no evaluation of the impact of this technology on students in recent years. Under this context, the objective of this study is to identify the way in which GenAI tools improve learning in the student community compared to traditional tools. For this, it was proposed to carry out a systematic literature review that includes bibliometric analysis to answer the PICO sub-questions. Likewise, using PRISMA, a search strategy and inclusion and exclusion criteria were developed, and the study selection process was documented, resulting in the selection of 20 free-access).research articles from the Scopus database. The results indicate that 50% of the students have an explicit preference for GenAI, and the other percentage does not make a direct mention but does mention the tools as such. On the other hand, personalization in learning, feedback, and feedback play an important role in GenAI in improving student learning. This increase in the interest in AI and its relationship with education in different academic areas shows that it is important to continue researching and giving the necessary importance to this technology for improving education. The teacher's support is essential for students to rapidly adopt tools.
