Abstract
The investigation was carried out in Cajamarca in order to determine the behavior of the soils with the incorporation of sawdust at 3%, 5% and 10% established in the NTP 339.141 and NTP 339.145 standards. We worked with an experimental design, working on two motorable trails, Puka Siña with Amoshulca and C.P la Huaraclla with the cruise; working with 4 samples. It was found that the average moisture content of the first 2 samples was 6.12% and the other two 16.62%, the granulometric analysis indicated the presence of fine clayey silt soil and the plasticity index gave values of 17.5%, 16 %, 20.45% and 22.05%. Likewise, the soils are classified as OL and CL, that is, organic silt soils and organic clays of low plasticity with sandy gravels and silty clays. Concluding that, the incorporation of sawdust at 3% improves the CBR index of the soils by more than 12% with respect to the soil in its natural state, which is why the use of this type of material is recommended in solving problems. similar in Cajamarca and Peru.
