Abstract
In this study we seek to analyze the impact that the sex of both the student and the teacher has on the final grade. To do this, the grades of the Probability and Statistics subject are compared between 2019 and 2023 of the National Polytechnic School, in which activities have been carried out in person and online. The discriminant statistical analysis of academic performance by sex and study modality is a method used to identify differences in academic performance between different groups, in this case, between sex and study modalities. This analysis is based on the use of variables independent to predict which group each individual belongs to, whether male or female, or belonging to a study modality, in-person or online. The aim is to identify and understand the differences in academic performance between different groups, which can be useful to implement more effective and equitable educational strategies, to promote the quality of the learning processes.
