Abstract
This work focuses on the fishing sector where it was sought how efficiency could be improved in the maintenance area through the application of Lean Manufacturing tools. From an observation and analysis of documents, the problems presented by the maintenance area were identified, such as: Disorder in the work area, reprocessing and lack of monitoring in equipment maintenance. For each identified problem, alternative solutions are proposed such as: Application of 5S, work standardization and preventive maintenance. The efficiency index of 63% was then determined based on the GANTT analysis document; Subsequently, the results were simulated by applying the proposed tools, resulting in an increase in efficiency by 17%. When making the comparison, the positive effect of the proposed tools was evaluated through a comparison. An analysis was then carried out and the results confirm the positive impact that lean manufacturing tools have in the fishing sector. In that sense, the research provided great solutions to improve efficiency in the maintenance area.
