Abstract
The lack of static exercise equipment in rescue organizations may be the reason dogs increase aggressive traits, which in turn prevents them from being adopted. Most of these are non-profit organizations with limited budget. The purpose of this investigation is to design a low-cost treadmill that is adjustable for dogs of diverse sizes and that can be used by disabled and healthy dogs. To achieve this, a bibliographic review was conducted, visits to the foundation, calculations to determine materials, and in the end, prototypes were made in SolidWorks. Once completed, a list of materials was made with prices with the recommended materials and the minimum requirements for some essential elements. As a result, we had what is the final model in SolidWorks with its parts, and adjustment modes for the pulleys, cables, and ropes that are seen in the final design of the treadmill and harnesses. A price of $390 was made for materials for the treadmill, which compared to the commercial price of a small breed treadmill, which is 39% of the price found on the market
